PVA 100-35 Application
PVA 100-35 is medium-viscosity, fully hydrolyzed
polyvinyl alcohol. With outstanding adhesion and balanced viscosity, this versatile industrial additive is widely adopted in textile processing, papermaking, emulsion polymerization, functional film manufacturing, coating production, and adhesive preparation.
Used for textile industry
PVA 100-35 works as a high-grade warp sizing agent. It forms dense, firm and wear-resistant protective films on yarn surfaces, effectively lowering yarn breakage, fiber shedding and frictional loss in high-speed weaving. With moderate permeability and easy desizing performance, no hard residual film remains after washing, so subsequent textile finishing and dyeing will not be adversely affected.
It can also be used as a textile finishing auxiliary. It increases fabric stiffness, surface smoothness, and dimensional stability; rearranges the internal fiber structure evenly; improves wrinkle resistance and shape retention; and endows fabrics with an even, silky hand feel.
As an efficient surface sizing agent applicable to various paper types, PVA 2099 forms continuous, dense and waterproof protective layers on paper surfaces. It greatly improves paper surface strength, rigidity and airtightness, alongside better water resistance and abrasion resistance. For cultural paper, packaging paper, and coated paper, it enables clearer printing, even ink absorption, and higher overall surface finishing quality.
Thanks to excellent film toughness and strong adhesive force, it also serves as an ideal raw material for eco-friendly water-based paper adhesives. It provides durable, stable bonding for paper lamination, carton sealing and paperboard compositing. After full curing, the adhesive layer boasts high transparency, good flexibility and excellent anti-aging ability, guaranteeing long-term stable bonding of paper products.
Used for emulsifiers and protective colloids
PVA 100-35 acts as a high-efficiency emulsifier and stable protective colloid for PVAC emulsions, acrylic emulsions and various composite emulsion polymerization systems. It evenly coats dispersed monomer particles and restrains coagulation, flocculation, delamination and precipitation during reaction and long-term storage. It keeps emulsion viscosity and composition stable, and noticeably raises the flexibility, water resistance and weather resistance of dried emulsion films.
Used for thermosetting resin modifier
It is an excellent modifier for thermosetting resins such as phenolic resin and urea-formaldehyde resin. It improves the flexibility and malleability of cured resin, decreases brittleness and cracking risks, and optimizes curing speed and moldability. Meanwhile, it enhances bonding strength, weather resistance, and structural stability of modified resins, and cuts free formaldehyde content to develop low-carbon and environmentally friendly resin formulas.
Used for industrial dispersants
With prominent surface activity and uniform dispersing capacity, it is a general industrial dispersant for inorganic pigments, fillers and fine powders. It reduces particle surface tension, avoids powder agglomeration and precipitation, boosts suspension uniformity and stability, and optimizes dispersion performance for coatings, ceramics, chemical powders and other industrial fields.
Used for high-performance coatings and adhesives
PVA 100-35 is a key functional additive for water-based industrial coatings and environmental adhesives. It delivers great thickening, leveling, anti-settling, and film-forming effects, improving coating construction performance, surface smoothness and hardness, as well as water resistance and outdoor weather resistance. In adhesive formulas, it significantly increases cohesive strength, transparency, and long-term storage stability of water-based glues.
