PVA 1388 Application
PVA 1388 is a medium viscosity and partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol with excellent water solubility and stable comprehensive properties, making it widely used in multiple industrial fields.
Used for adhesives
PVA 1388 is widely used in paper adhesives, envelope adhesives, label re-wetting adhesives, and wood adhesives. The formed adhesive film exhibits good flexibility, transparency, and stable bonding to paper, cardboard, and porous fiber substrates.
Used for textile warp sizing
It serves as a universal sizing agent for medium count cotton yarn, blended yarn, and synthetic yarn. It forms a continuous, tough protective film on the yarn surface, improving tensile strength and wear resistance during weaving. It balances the permeability of sizing and surface coating, facilitates desizing, has low residue, and effectively reduces the yarn breakage rate.
Used for papermaking
Used as a surface sizing agent and coating adhesive in the paper industry. PVA 0488 improves the surface smoothness, surface strength, and ink absorption capacity of paper, reduces fuzzing and dust generation, and significantly enhances the printability and surface treatment quality of finished paper.
