PVA 1799 Application

PVA 1799 is a medium viscosity, fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol grade product. With super adhesion and moderate viscosity, it is a general industrial-grade additive widely used in textile processing, the paper industry, lotion polymerization, functional film manufacturing, coating and adhesive production, etc.

Used for textile industry

PVA 1799 is a high-quality warp sizing agent that forms a dense, tough, and wear-resistant protective film on the surface of the yarn, significantly reducing yarn breakage, lint shedding, and friction loss during high-speed weaving. It has moderate permeability and easy desizing properties, leaving no residual hard film and not affecting subsequent textile finishing and dyeing processes.

At the same time, it can be used as a textile finishing agent, effectively improving the fabric’s stiffness, surface smoothness, and dimensional stability. It optimizes the internal fiber structure, improves the fabric’s wrinkle resistance and setting performance, and gives the textile a uniform, smooth feel.

Used for paper industry

PVA 1799 is used as an efficient surface sizing agent for various types of paper. It forms a continuous, dense, and waterproof protective film on the paper surface, greatly improving its strength, stiffness, and airtightness. It improves the water resistance and wear resistance of paper, significantly enhancing the printing clarity, ink absorption uniformity, and overall surface treatment quality of cultural paper, packaging paper, and coated paper.

It stabilizes the viscosity and system uniformity of lotion and greatly improves the toughness, water resistance and weather resistance of dry lotion film.

Used for PVA film

Thanks to its high mechanical strength, excellent film-forming performance, and stable physical properties, PVA1799 is widely used to manufacture high-quality functional PVA films. Used for thermosetting resin modifier

PVA 1799 is an excellent modifier additive for thermosetting resins, such as phenolic and urea-formaldehyde resins. It effectively improves the toughness and flexibility of the cured resin, reduces brittleness and cracking and optimizes curing speed and molding performance.
