PVA 0388 Application
PVA 0388 is a low polymerization degree polyvinyl alcohol, which has the characteristics of being highly soluble in cold water, fast dissolution rate, low viscosity, good flowability, easy degradation, and excellent film-forming flexibility (thin and soft film, but lower bonding strength and water resistance than high polymerization degree PVA). Mainly used in scenarios that require rapid dissolution, low viscosity, and easy degradation, covering the light industry, textile, agriculture, daily chemical and other fields.
PVA 0388 Used For Textile Industry
In the textile printing and dyeing industry, PVA 0388 is mainly used for low-temperature desizing and auxiliary sizing of lightweight fabrics. Suitable for desizing thin fabrics such as cotton, linen, and synthetic blends. Due to its fast dissolution rate and low viscosity, it can quickly dissolve the sizing agent on the surface of yarn at low temperatures, avoiding damage to fabric fibers and improving desizing efficiency.
At the same time, it can be used as an auxiliary sizing agent for fine yarn and lightweight fabrics, forming a thin, soft protective film on the yarn surface that prevents fuzzing and does not affect the fabric’s softness. It is suitable for producing lightweight clothing, colored fabrics and other products.
PVA 0388 Used For Paper Industry
In the paper industry, PVA0388 is used as a surface and internal sizing agent for low-grade paper and household paper. As a surface sizing agent, it is applied to the surfaces of products such as toilet paper, napkins, and regular writing paper, slightly improving surface smoothness and water resistance, reducing hair loss and powdering, and improving the usability of the paper.
As an internal sizing agent, it is added to the pulp of low-grade cultural paper and packaging paper, thereby enhancing the bonding force between paper fibers, improving the toughness of the paper, and reducing breakage during papermaking and use.
PVA 0388 Used For Adhesive Industry
In the adhesive industry, PVA0388 is used to produce low viscosity, fast-dissolving water-based adhesives. Suitable for scenarios that require quick bonding and easy cleaning, such as regular stationery adhesive (low viscosity liquid adhesive), paper adhesive, and temporary adhesive for lightweight materials.
Its cold-water solubility allows the adhesive to be used immediately after mixing with water, and its simple structure. Low viscosity ensures that the adhesive does not excessively penetrate when bonding thin paper and lightweight materials, and the bonding surface remains flat.

In the agricultural field, PVA0388 is an excellent adhesive and dispersant for pesticides and fertilizers. Used for producing pesticide wettable powders, water-dispersible granules, and foliar fertilizers. Its low viscosity and good fluidity can evenly disperse pesticide and fertilizer particles in water and form a thin film on crop surfaces, thereby improving adhesion, extending shelf life, and increasing utilization efficiency. PVA0388 has a wide range of applications in the fields of daily chemicals and the light industry. Among daily chemicals, it can be used as a thickener and stabilizer for shampoo, lotion, and liquid soap, improving the viscosity and texture of products without affecting the feel of use. It can also be used for bonding and molding of thin facial mask substrates and disposable cotton pads. It is skin-friendly, water-soluble, and residue-free. In the light industry, it is used as a film-forming agent for water-based coatings and inks with low viscosity requirements, such as ordinary paper ink and decorative coatings, thereby improving leveling performance and ensuring uniform film formation.
