PVA 0888 Application
PVA 0888 is a low viscosity partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol with uniform molecular distribution, excellent water solubility, and superior leveling ability. It has mild surface activity and good compatibility with most water-based materials, making it suitable for the following applications:
Used for adhesives
PVA 0888 has a stable, low-to-medium viscosity and excellent spreading properties, making it a core additive for high-precision photosensitive coatings. It helps form a thin, uniform photosensitive layer, improves the resolution and pattern restoration accuracy of the printing plate, and achieves fine printing effects for high-number screen printing plates.
Used for surface sizing and coating formula of coated paper, art paper, and food-grade packaging paper. PVA 0888 enhances the surface hardness of paper, reduces lint shedding and dust generation, improves ink absorption and dot reproduction, and significantly improves paper smoothness and printing performance.
Used for lotion protective colloid
As an effective protective colloid during lotion polymerization, it encloses monomer particles to prevent flocculation and stratification, thereby stabilizing the lotion’s storage performance. After drying, it forms a continuous, flexible film that enhances the coating’s toughness, weather resistance, and uniform coverage.
Used for medicinal films and matrices
It has high purity, low impurity levels, and mild biocompatibility, and can form smooth, uniform, and flexible soluble films without irritating the drug ingredients. It is an ideal raw material for water-soluble medicinal films and external matrices for oral and topical drug formulations, maintaining stable dissolution rates across different storage environments.
